Dear Parents,

If your child is sick or absent, you are required to notify the school as soon as possible on the day of absence, by calling the school office on 58588200. If your child is absent on a particular day and you have not contacted the school to explain why, the absence will be marked as unexplained. It is also important for families to keep the school informed of any changes to their contact details (especially mobile phone numbers) to allow us to make contact in case of an emergency. People listed as emergency contacts need to be able to collect your child if we are unable to contact you, especially if your child is unwell.

It is also expected that your child/children will be at school, in class at 8:55am until 3.25pm every day. Students who are late not only miss out on learning but disrupt the whole class and the teacher who has commenced the day’s program. Going to school every day is the single most important part of your child’s education, they learn new things every day – missing school puts them behind.

ENROLMENTS FOR 2019

We are now taking enrolments for next year’s Foundation students. If you have, or know of a child that will start school next year please come and enrol them through the office as soon as you can. Please spread the word with your friends and family if they too have a school age child ready to commence in 2019. If you are in contact with families of prospective students from Year 1 to year 6 too, please ask them to contact the office and book in a school tour.

NUDE FOOD

Rubbish in our school yard continues to be a problem at our school. Once again we would like to encourage parents to pack their children's food for school in take home containers. Please try to avoid wrapped food as this is often discarded in the school yard. Dry noodles is not a good option for the lunch box as they are not healthy and also make a lot of mess while students are eating them.
